Description

Name: Yardain
Story: The Rogue King Saga - The Rogue King
StatusRoguess

I like to think of Yardain as a woman who's seen that many strange things happening in the desert that she's no longer fazed. She would've seen Rogues come and go, likely dictating a few of those passings. And when the Rogue King came along to upset the balance she's ordered, she still managed to get his giant lizard ass into line. Somewhere along the way, she gained a bit of a back-story — and a son whom she gave up — that didn't make it into the actual novel. A bit of a pity.

I think I've done about three pictures of this woman, changing more and more of her clothing every time. I started off with something muted, but most Roguesses are flamboyant things and, it took a bit of fussing through my digital wardrobe to be satisfied that this was something she would wear. And whilst she is old, very old, I figured there wouldn't be too many wrinkles happening when you're covered in scales.

"Outside is dangerous."

Such is the warning Koral has heard for twelve years. Born a product of genetic manipulation, he knows little else of the world beyond the steel walls of his home.
When fate gives him the choice between certain death and the unknown, there's no question in what he must choose. But he's about to find out the sands he must brave are full of more than mere monsters.
Providing the desert doesn't kill him first.
This is a world ruled by instinct, where innocence is drowned in blood. Here, men are offered up to the great Serpent God, Lorric, only to emerge as the most feared killers on the planet: The Rogues.
With the god's sights set on turning Koral into a legend, he must sacrifice himself to survive and be reborn as... The Rogue King
